Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) outline the agreement between Peak Parties (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the client (“you”, “parent/guardian”, “customer”). By booking a party or service with Peak Parties, you agree to the following terms.

1. General Information

1.1 Peak Parties provide children’s pamper parties and outdoor rock-climbing and caving parties in and around the Peak District and Tameside.

1.2 All bookings are accepted on the basis that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Bookings, Payments and Cancellations

2.1 Booking Confirmation

  • Bookings are only confirmed once a deposit has been paid.

  • Remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 7 days before the party date.

2.2 Deposits

  • Deposits are £100 and are non-refundable.

  • Deposits secure your date/time and cover administrative and preparation costs.

2.3 Cancellation by Customer

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event: deposit retained, no further charges.

  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the event: full payment is due.

  • If you need to reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate a new date, subject to availability.

2.4 Cancellation by Peak Parties

  • We reserve the right to cancel or postpone bookings in cases of:

    • Severe weather making outdoor climbing unsafe

    • Staff illness

    • Extreme safety risks

    • Circumstances beyond our control

  • Where Peak Parties cancels, you may choose:

    • A rescheduled date, or

    • A full refund (including deposit)

3. Outdoor Rock-Climbing Parties

3.1 Participant Requirements

  • All children must have parent/guardian consent.

  • Recommended age: 6+, unless agreed otherwise.

  • Children must be physically able to participate safely.

3.2 Clothing and Equipment

  • Children must wear:

    • Appropriate outdoor footwear

    • Warm or weather-appropriate clothing

    • No loose scarves, jewellery, or items that may pose a risk

  • All climbing equipment is provided by Peak Parties unless specified.

3.3 Weather and Environment

  • As an outdoor activity, sessions may be affected by:

    • Heavy rain

    • High winds

    • Lightning

    • Unsafe terrain

The instructor will make the final decision to proceed, modify, or postpone.

3.4 Supervision

  • Peak Parties provides qualified instructors for climbing activities.

  • A responsible adult must remain on-site for the entire duration.

3.5 Safety and Conduct

  • All participants must follow the instructor’s safety guidelines.

  • Dangerous behaviour may result in removal from the activity without refund.

4. Pamper Parties

4.1 Treatments and Products

Pamper parties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Nailed painted

  • Homemade face masks

  • Games with prizes

  • Tattoos

  • Makeup

  • Foot spas

  • Present for birthday girl/boy

4.2 Allergies & Medical Information

  • Parents/guardians must inform Peak Parties of any allergies, skin sensitivities, or medial conditions before the event.

  • We cannot be held responsible for reactions if information was not provided in advance.

4.3 Patch Testing

  • For certain products (if applicable), patch testing may be required at least 24-48 hours prior.

  • Failure to patch test means participation is at your own risk.

5. Liability and Responsibility

5.1 Assumption of Risk

Both pamper and rock-climbing parties carry inherent risks.

By booking, you accept that:

  • Outdoor climbing involves physical exertion and environmental hazards.

  • Pamper treatments may cause reactions depending on the child’s skin sensitivity.

5.2 Insurance

Peak Parties holds appropriate public liability insurance.

5.3 Customer Responsibility

You agree that:

  • Children remain under parental/guardian responsibility at all times.

  • You will ensure at least one supervising adult is present during the party.

  • Equipment provided by Peak Parties will be treated responsibly.

5.4 Limitations

Peak Parties is not liable for:

  • Injuries caused by failure to follow instructions.

  • Allergic reactions where information wasn’t disclosed.

  • Damage caused by participants.

  • Weather-related cancellations (beyond our control)

6. Photos and Media

  • We may take photos or videos during parties for promotional use.

  • No images of children will be used without explicit parental consent.

  • You may request removal of any images at any time.

7. Data Protection (GDPR)

7.1 Personal Data

We collect basic information such as:

  • Child’s name and age

  • Contact information

  • Medical/allergy details

  • Booking information

This data is used solely to deriver safe and appropriate services.

7.2 Privacy

  • Data is stored securely and never shared with third parties.

  • You may request data deletion at any time.

8. Behaviour and Group Management

  • A minimum of one supervising adult per 8 children is required.

  • Aggressive or unsafe behaviour may result in exclusion from the activity.

  • Damage to equipment or property may be chargeable.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of Peak Parties:

  • Please raise concerns within 48 hours of the event.

  • We will always aim to resolve issues promptly and professionally.

10. Agreement

By booking with Peak Parties, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

  • You understand the nature of the activities and associated risks.

  • You take responsibility for providing accurate health and allergy information.
